Note:
This site is very much in a work in progress. We are learning and experiencing so much that is new to us. We plan to share as much as time allows, but we make no promises.

There are many shifts from first person to third person, and from past, to present, to future tenses. That's a result of the long time-span of putting this site together.

Pages that are incomplete today may be quite robust tomorrow. The photo gallery will be growing. If you are interested in what we are doing and saying, we urge you enter your email address above to be notified of changes to the site. Don't worry...There will be no spam. Your email address will only be used to notify you of changes to our site.

Exercise Room

One of the larger rooms is the exercise room. You might be interested in knowing why...

Several years ago, we were fortunate enough to find a high intensity strength training program called SuperSlow® that was practiced by one of the gurus of the form, Gary Lindahl, a licensed physical therapist. We studied with him and eventually learned the protocol well enough that Marbeth and I trained each other twice a week.

We trained religiously for over three years until we moved to Oregon. Not having the facilities nor the bandwidth to train, we saw ourselves losing our physical strength, but could not do anything about it.

So, when we were designing the house, we committed a space of almost 181 square feet (11' 8" x 15' 6") to an excercise room. Sporting two 8' x 4'6" picture windows, it has some of the most beautiful views.

Equipment-wise, we have a Bowflex, a stationary bicycle, and an Ab-Lounger.

Gary Lindahl was a pilot and kept his skills honed by logging flight hours monthly. Gary and we had agreed that when the house was completed, he would fly up here from the Bay Area, stay with us in our guest room, hang out, and re-train us on our new equipment.

We were deeply saddened on April 29, 2006, to receive a call from his long-time personal assistant, Deanna, that Gary had passed away the day before. Gary was a young 66, a good man, and a special friend. We missed him when we moved up here. And now, we miss him even more.
